Privacy Policy
Effective: September 16, 2026
This policy explains how Throneward handles information when you use the Throneward iOS and Android game or throneward.io. Throneward is operated by the independent developer of the game. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to vukasin.dev@gmail.com.
Information we handle
- Account information: if you create a multiplayer account, we receive your email address, display name, and password. Passwords are stored only as a salted one-way hash.
- Player safety: account block lists and submitted reports, including the reported message, account IDs, reason, and review status. Ordinary chat is held only briefly in server memory; reported messages are saved for review for up to 90 days.
- Gameplay information: game mode, legion, match results, ratings, match history, wave progress, economy and board statistics, replay commands, and interactions with game features.
- Technical and usage information: app or build version, platform, approximate session timing, performance measurements, device or browser identifiers, IP address, and diagnostic events.
- Advertising and consent information: the Android app may receive consent choices and advertising identifiers through Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform. Rewarded ads are optional and initiated by the player.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts and multiplayer, provide ratings and match history, save and diagnose game sessions, prevent abuse, improve balance and reliability, measure feature use, provide optional rewarded ads, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Analytics and session replay
We use PostHog for product analytics and session replay, and Google Analytics to understand website traffic, acquisition, and engagement. Replays can record visible interface interactions, but game text-entry fields are masked. The WebGL battlefield itself is not captured as readable form data. These providers may process usage events, page views, device/browser information, IP-derived information, cookies, local-storage identifiers, and, for PostHog, session recordings on our behalf.
Advertising
iOS advertising measurement
Starting with iOS version 1.0.1, Throneward uses Meta's Facebook SDK to measure installs and app activation from advertising. We request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before starting Meta measurement. If you decline or tracking is restricted, we do not initialize Meta measurement. With your permission, Meta may process app activation events, advertising and device identifiers, IP address, device and app information, and SDK diagnostics to measure advertising and analyze campaign performance. Meta may link this information with information it already holds. We do not send your Throneward account name, email, password, chat messages, or match history to Meta. Automatic purchase and gameplay event logging is disabled.
You can change tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Declining does not limit gameplay. Learn more in Meta's Privacy Policy.
The Android app uses Google AdMob for optional rewarded ads and Google's User Messaging Platform for regional privacy choices. Google and its advertising partners may process IP addresses, advertising or device identifiers, app interactions, diagnostics, approximate location inferred from network information, and consent signals to deliver, measure, secure, and—where permitted—personalize ads. Learn more in Google's explanation of partner data use.
Sharing
Information may be processed by service providers that help us operate Throneward, including our hosting provider, PostHog, Google Analytics, and Google AdMob/UMP, and Meta (with iOS tracking permission). We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer. Multiplayer display names, ratings, and game results may be visible to other players.
Retention and security
Account and match information is retained while the account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service. Analytics and advertising providers retain information under their own policies and settings. In-game account deletion removes the account and account-linked records immediately after password confirmation. Support-assisted deletion requests are normally completed within 30 days. Limited de-identified match, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or legal records may remain for up to 90 days or longer when legally required. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS or secure WebSockets, and access is limited to what is needed to operate the service.
Your choices and deletion
You can use tutorial, solo, and computer-opponent modes without creating an account. Regional advertising choices are presented by the Android app when required, and the menu provides a Privacy choices entry point when available. To delete your account, open Multiplayer → Account & player safety in the game. For support-assisted deletion, follow the instructions on the Throneward account-deletion page.
Children
Throneward is intended for players aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us so it can be removed.
Changes
We may update this policy when Throneward or its service providers change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
